The principle is bitter, not the price: Traditionally, bitter drops are taken directly onto the tongue, as the bitter taste itself is the key. A capsule that bypasses the taste buds in terms of delivering the bitter substances is, according to this understanding, ineffective. Those who dislike bitterness are better off approaching it through bitter foods: chicory, arugula, grapefruit.

Why there is no effect here
No health claims are permitted for bitter herb mixtures in the EU. Their centuries-old use before meals is well-documented as a tradition, not as proof of efficacy. Therefore, we focus on origin and craftsmanship, not on promises. This honesty is our principle.
How it is taken
Traditionally, a few drops are placed on the tongue shortly before a meal and left to take effect for a moment. The bitterness is intentional; it's the whole point.
Good to know
- Wormwood should not be used during pregnancy, so avoid the entire mixture.
- If you have gallstones, stomach ulcers or duodenal ulcers, consult a doctor before taking this medication.
